I consider our time at SCOPE 2026 a great success for ClinAsyst. The team and I spoke directly with sponsors, CROs, and research sites about what’s really slowing clinical research down.
The message was clear and consistent:
Research isn’t slow because people aren’t working hard.
It’s slow because the process itself is fragmented, outdated, and full of friction.
Operational complexity remains the biggest bottleneck. Interest in AI is everywhere, but in this industry, trust and usability matter far more than hype. Sites are stretched thin. Administrative burdens keep growing. Execution, not a vague vision statement or a catch phrase, is what actually drives change.
At ClinAsyst, we didn’t start by asking, “How do we automate one task?”
We asked a harder question: “How can we best improve the research process?”
That’s why we focus on removing friction across workflows not adding more tools and portals. From voice-assisted SAE reporting with immediate invoicing to real-time operational and financial actions triggered by clinical events, the goal is simple: fewer delays, less admin burden, better execution, and greater success.
The future of clinical research operations isn’t about replacing people with AI.
It’s about building systems that actually work for the people doing the work and making them successful in the work being done.
